 Profile

Chika Taylor's professional experience has its roots in the Energy Medicine System of Latin America. Obtained a BA (Hons) Degree in Latin America Studies in 1992. Counselling RSA Certificate, in 1994. Qualified with ITEC in Aromatherapy, 1995. Became a Certified practitioner of Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy in 1997, obtaining a Diploma in 2001. Chika Taylor is continually expanding her professional qualifications. Being particularly concerned with health Chika researched and presented a Dissertation “Health and Disease: The Mind Body Connection and the NLP Approach” (2004)  to The National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy. Chika is particularly in interested in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). Hypnotherapy goes straight to the source of unwanted negative attitudes and behaviours. Using Eriksonian amongst many other Hypno techniques and this is complemented with Energy Medicine. These are powerfully effective techniques used to attain health, positive change and growth. 

Training

Trained with National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy DHP (NC). Is full member of the National Register of Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapists MNRHP. Full membership ensures that therapists have completed a three year professional training, obtained Certificate, Diploma and researched and presented a Dissertation. Full members are covered by full professional indemnity insurance.
Currently anyone can claim to be a Psychotherapist and Hypnotherapist. However statutory regulation governing the Psychotherapeutic Profession will be adopted in 2007. Until then check credentials with the UKCP, NRHP (MNRHP) or other Professional Umbrella Organisations for your own health & safety.  
Only accept full MNRHP or UKCP membership status to ensure that you receive a professional, efficient and safe service. 
Accreditation
The National College is externally recognized by the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education. This accreditation is recognised by the Secretary of State for Education to guarantee public standards in independent institutions of Further and Higher Education in the UK. UK Council for Psychotherapy
The UKCP accredits, register and monitors psychotherapists and their training organisations. UKCP accreditation assures a high level of personal and academic proficiency. Registrants are required to adhere to the UKCP Code of Ethics.
